FCC Regulatory Matters

Fox Ridge Communications, Inc. can help you deal effectively with the Federal Communications Commission.

Listed below are just a few of the services provided.

Rule WaiversNot all radio systems can be built to conform to the current FCC rules.  The rules are broad and cannot take every situation into account.  That's exactly why the FCC has a rule waiver process - to accommodate those special needs that licensees have.  Fox Ridge can analyze your requirements, let you know if you can do what you want under the current rules, and help you with a waiver request if needed.  In many cases, obtaining a waiver need not be complicated or expensive.

Rule Making:  Fox Ridge can help you file with the FCC to have a rule changed or to comment on a proposed rule change.  The rules affect you and you have a right to have a say in how they are written.  By knowing just a few details of the process, you can file comments directly with the FCC to let it know what you are thinking.  But, for the FCC to consider your views, you must follow exact procedures.  We can help assure that your voice is heard at the FCC.

License ApplicationsApplications are no longer the one-page forms they were at one time.  Today applications are complicated and quickly rejected by the FCC if they are wrong.  Some applications require technical studies to show that there will be no interference caused by a proposed station.  The Universal Licensing System (ULS) has just added even more complexity.  Fox Ridge can assist you through the most difficult applications.  Don't walk through this jungle without an experienced guide!
