Special Studies and Reports

Some types of problems require special attention.  These are the unique problems without textbook answers.  Let Fox Ridge use its experience to solve your tough issues.

Public Safety InteroperabilityOne of the toughest issues facing public safety licensees is how they can communicate with each other when needed.  No longer can systems be put in place that limit the ability of the public safety community to respond to emergencies because different agencies cannot communicate with each other.  Fox Ridge can offer help to make existing systems interoperate or assist in designing new systems.

"T-Band" Waiver Studies:   Many public safety agencies that have run out of spectrum have successfully received waivers to use television channels 14 - 20.  These TV channels are available in 11 cities under the current rules.  Outside those areas, the channels must be accessed by rule waiver.  These waivers require complex studies of potential television interference, interference studies to other land mobile stations, and studies to document lack of other land mobile spectrum.  Fox Ridge has been successful in securing such waivers for several public safety agencies.  If all else fails, this option could provide an avenue to acquire new spectrum.

FCC-type Station InspectionsWould your radio facilities pass an inspection by the FCC?  Even seemingly minor violations, such as faded paint on a tower that has painting and lighting requirements, can lead to fines or loss of license.  Fox Ridge can inspect your facilities and tell you whether or not the sites comply with the FCC rules and your licenses.  Having a former FCC field inspector take a look at your sites before the FCC shows up can save your time, your money, and your licenses.
